Webinar 2024_01: Cavitation Prediction Simulations using Simerics-MP+®
    Date: February 07 th , 2024
    Day: Wednesday
    Time: 10:30-11:30 am EST

The first installment of the Simerics Webinar Series for 2024 is in the topic of Cavitation. Cavitation effects have long been a cause of concern in hydraulics and automotive due to its ability to wear the material or cause degradation of the parts. Onset of cavitation also dramatically affects the performance or adversely affects the power of the system.
In this webinar, we will discuss the numerical capabilities of Simerics in modeling the phenomena of cavitation. Simerics-MP+® 3D CFD tool has gained popularity in the industry due to its ability to model complex systems with accuracy, speed and robustness. The cavitation model implemented in the software has been extensively validated across several different industry verticals and has been shown to produce realistic representations of the actual physics happening in those systems. The Simerics software contains multiple cavitation models of different sophistications.
We are pleased to announce this chapter of the webinar where we will delve into some of these uniqueness of Simerics-CFD in capturing the physics of cavitation.

    This webinar will cover:

    1. A brief introduction about Simerics
    2. The implementation of the cavitation model inside the software
    3. A demonstration case showing the onset of cavitation and the visualization of its effects inside the
      software
    4. Literatures on the effects of cavitation and how its been studied using Simerics in the past

    • Simerics-MP CFD for Autodesk® Fusion 360®

Simerics is excited to offer Simerics-MP CFD package now on Autodesk.

Simerics-MP offers three variants designed for users of Autodesk® Fusion 360®.

      ·        Simerics-MP CFD has flow (internal, external, and a combination of both) and Thermal and Heat (conduction, convection).

      ·        Simerics-MP CFD Plus adds Radiation, Moving/Sliding Mesh (rotating machinery, fans, blowers), Species and Particles (including erosion wear).

      ·        Simerics-MP CFD Premium adds Multiphase, Cavitation, Multicomponent (gases of varying density) and Dynamics (fluids moving a solid).

Fusion 360’s UI and models are used to make all of these physics functions together.  There are huge annual cost reductions when matching hardware prototypes in the quickest possible method.
