    Multiphase physics is encountered frequently in the automotive, hydraulic, aerospace, and marine industries. The interface tracking methodology or popularly known as the Volume of Fluid (VOF) approach is utilized in majority of these multiphase flow applications. But, historically, this multiphase physics poses multitudes of challenges including, numerical diffusion or smearing at the interface between phases, generation or destruction of mass of phases, lack of robustness, and in some instances a complete inability to account for sophisticated motions.

    Simerics VOF algorithm has been successfully and widely utilized in the industry to study variety of sophisticated components and systems. It has been proven that our native High Resolution Interface Capturing (HRIC) scheme is substantially sharp in capturing the free surface, while being fast and robust.
