Species

The Simerics Species Module can model the diffusion and transport for mixtures composed of multiple species or to solve any simple scalar equation with source terms and diffusive/convective transport.

Fluid Properties: The Species Module does not include the effect of species concentration on the effective properties of the mixture. This is adequate for mixtures of species with similar properties or for applications where the species concentrations effect on the properties can be neglected (e.g. a dilute mixture of salt in water). But, if the ability to accurately compute the fluid properties of the mixture as a function of the concentration of the individual components is important, the user should employ the Multicomponent Mixing Module for more accuracy.
