Simulation of External Gear with Relief Valve

The Dynamics Modules enables the prediction of the dynamics of moving parts (e.g. valves) in fluid systems in response to fluid pressure and other forces.

Full two-way coupling Full two coupling between the solid and fluid is modeled.

Comprehensive 1-DOF The translational and rotational motion of any part is rigorously modeled with a single degree of freedom of motion (1-DOF), including the effects of inertia, spring forces, magnetic forces, fluid shear, pressures, and other forces as appropriate.

Specified or Predicted Motion The desired motion of the part can either be specified explicitly or solved as part of the solution.

Note! Translating the output of the The Dynamics Modules into motion of components and boundaries within the simulation domain requires use of the Moving/Morphing Grids and MRF Module to actually deform or translate the mesh.
