Mixed Flow Pump Design:
A mixed flow pump combines characteristics of centrifugal and axial pumps. The Blades of mixed flow pump are inclined such that they drive the fluid in both radial and axial directions. Mixed flow pump rotors can be mounted in a tube similar to typical axial pumps, or mounted in a volute similar to typical centrifugal pumps.
Advantages:
Ability to pump large volumes of fluid.
Application:
Fluid transfer, Propulsion. |
