BALL CHECK VALVE

Ball Check Valves Design:

A check valve is a mechanical device that normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction. A Ball Check Valve is a check valve that uses a sphere to control the flow.

Application:

Piston-driven and diaphragm pumps such as metering pumps and pumps for chromatography commonly use inlet and outlet ball check valves.

Simerics: Solve Flows, Pressures, Cavitation, Turbulence and Loads:

Discriminators:

  • Accurate / Robust Cavitation Model
  • Able to model micron scale clearances
  • Ease-of-use
  • Fast turn-around

Design Issues/Benefits:

  • Leakage reduction
  • Reduce/Control Cavitation effects
  • Precise flow control
